Q1/1: Strongly correlated systems of fermions

Principal Investigators: Gies, Bechstedt, Wipf

All to date known matter in nature has fermionic origins. In particular strongly correlated fermions are the cause of a multitude of physical phenomena in quantum as well as statistical systems.

Examples of Ph.D. topics

  1. Quantum phase transitions in 3d relativistic fermion systems
  2. Phase structure of ultracold atomic gases with uneven spin density
  3. Chiral dynamic and phase structure of the QCD
